Porcelain Onlays/Inlays

If you have a broken tooth, your dentist may place a porcelain onlay on your tooth. The onlay will completely cover a broken or decayed tooth, and provides complete protection and increased strength for the tooth. The onlay requires less tooth removal than a crown for proper application.

With porcelain as the material of construction, the onlay can be closely matched to the natural colour of your existing teeth. With the introduction of the Computer Assisted Design/Computer Assisted Manufacture (CAD/CAM) system by CEREC, the entire process is completed in one visit. CEREC technology allows us to make your onlays and inlays while you wait in our comfortable office. Once the onlay is constructed, it is carefully bonded to the tooth.
